Coconut & Sugar Body Scrub

Want to treat yourself to a spa treatment in the comfort of your own shower? It's SOOOOOO easy! I have made this recipe with mandarin orange essential oil in the past, but more recently, I have begun to make it with clove and wild orange essential oils. The clove oil is great for muscle relief and the wild orange is energizing. I love how smooth and hydrated my skin is after using this scrub. I especially love to use it in the shower when I've arrived home from an evening yoga class.  Ahhhhhhh .... so lovely. Alright, without further ado, here it is! Coconut & Sugar Scrub 1/2 cup coconut oil 10 drops clove essential oil 10 drops wild orange essential oil 1 cup granulated sugar 125 ml jam jar Mix the coconut oil together with the sugar and oils and scoop into a clean 125-ml jam jar. Essential Oils: My Story

My journey with essential oils began over six years ago when my midwife recommended I use lavender essential oil to help with postpartum healing after the birth of my first child. Within the year, I started using lavender in my all purpose cleaning spray and adding tea tree oil to the washing machine whenever I washed our cloth diapers. Years later, I picked up some mandarin orange essential oil to test out a DIY recipe I had found on Pinterest for a coconut oil & sugar body scrub . It smelled yummy I wanted to use it all the time! In 2015 when I was pregnant with my third child, I saw an old acquaintance post something on Facebook about using essential oils to clean her home and to soothe her teething child. That peaked my interest! Teething children are one of my greatest early parenting challenges, so I had to find out more and try it out for myself!
